Celebrate Nation Nanotechnology Day at UVA


This weekend we will be holding the 100 Billion Nanometer Dash, an event promoted by the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office to celebrate National Nanotechnology Day! National Nanotechnology Day is a day to help raise awareness of nanotechnology, how it is currently used in products that enrich our daily lives, and the challenges and opportunities it holds for the future. It takes place on October 9th (10/9) to pay homage to the nanometer scale, or 10^(-9).


So what is the 100 Billion Nanometer Dash? It's a challenge to run #100BillionNanometers (100 meters).


When:  Sunday Oct 9 @ 10 AM


Where:  Lannigan Field track (number 9 on this map)


There will be prizes for the top 5 runners and Bodo's bagels for all participants. So out and have a great time!
